Dear Parents,
Hurst Christmas Fair
Friday 27th November 6.30 - 9pm
Saturday 28th November 9.30am - 1pm
Please come and support the Fair as it raises funds for both
Gym Club and the Village Centre.
This is a 'professional' fair with numerous stalls offering
a wide range of goods, gifts etc including jewellery, cards, cakes, toys, etc.
There will be hot & cold refreshments available throughout.
Please see if you can offer us anything suitable for either
the Raffle or the Children's Tombola. We look forward to seeing you there.
Pre-School Parents Sessions
On 27th November the classes are open for parents and friends to see their
children's progress.
NB No photos or videos during session time.
British Gymnastics Awards
The Club follows the British Gymnastics award scheme, with over a hundred and
twenty children gaining awards this term.
We do not have observation sessions but parents are always welcome to
come ten minutes before the end of their child's last sessions to witness
the presentations which will be the 24th, 25th, & 26th November.
Bonfire & Fireworks
Thank you for your support on 1st November. The Club, Oldland Mill at Keymer,
Hassocks Infants School & Birchwood Grove School in Burgess Hill all
benefited from the event.
Next year the event will be on 31st October - Halloween !
Enjoy Our Swimming at the Triangle for £1
We are again offering subsidised swimming in the Triangle Leisure Pool for
every gymnast - from age 3 - 16 on Monday 25th January. Gymnasts may start
their session between 4.30 & 5.30pm. Children under the age of 8 need to be
accompanied - one adult to every two children. Tickets for gymnasts and
accompanying adults are just £1 - obtainable from the Club next term.
Bowling competition
We will be offering twelve places to year 7+ in the Neighbourhood Bowling Competition on 15th February.
We are the current shield winners after winning the last two years.
Activities Plus
We are still finalising additional activities for next term and will give
details as soon as we can.
Safety / Tidiness
We remind gymnasts that watches and all jewellery, including earrings,
should not be worn. Hair that reaches the shoulder, should always be tied back. After the warm-up, particularly when support and help is needed or when performing partner balances only safe clothing, i.e. leotards, should be worn.
Please ensure your child has warm clothing to put on after gym.
Leaving / Joining
Please let us know by the end of term if you child is leaving us.
Places are automatically reserved in main club for all those in Pre-School
attaining school age.
Changing
Please bring your children ready changed for Gym, or if necessary change in
the hall foyer - not the Library or main foyer.
